Meat Donated to The Jericho House

Joe Schuster, Coordinator for North Georgia Foothills FHFH, coordinated the pickup of 423 pounds of venison donated by FHFH to The Jericho House in Georgia.  The meat was processed by Southers Deer Cooler in Murrayville, GA.

The Jericho House is a Christ-centered drug and alcohol recovery program located in the mountains of North Georgia.  Their mission is to guide men who are caught in addiction on their recovery journey and help them rewrite their story for a better future. 

Empty Freezer Filled for the Hungry

FHFH donated meat to a church food bank and received this note of thanks from Pastor Dave Hays at Battlefield Bible Church near Sharpsburg, MD:

“We have a food bank and had lost some of our food donors and resources.  We had just run completely out of meat when Josh and his group came through for us in a way that was almost miraculous.  Now ALL of our church freezers are full of meat to feed the hungry.  What a blessing!”

Base camp Renews Their Support for the FHFH Mission

We give special thanks to three of our National Partners – The American Hunting Lease Association, Base Camp Country Real Estate and Base Camp Leasing – that have renewed their support for our hunger relief mission with a combined $10,000 contribution! These brands have faithfully supported FHFH since 2019 because our mission promotes the wise use and management of harvested animals to sustain resources for future generations, while feeding those in need and honoring the animals that are harvested.

Muskingum County, Ohio FHFH blessed Christ’s Table in Zanesville, Ohio with a donation of venison.  Christ’s Table is a nonprofit hot meal site (soup kitchen).

The deer was processed by our participating meat processor Olde Village Meats located in Frazeysburg.

We thank Muskingum County FHFH chapter coordinator Bob Daniels, Olde Village Meats, the hunters who donated deer to FHFH and our financial supporters for helping feed the hungry in their community.

Mid-Shore Community Foundation Provides Funding to FHFH

The Mid-Shore Community Foundation has awarded $10,000 in grant funding to FHFH for chapters serving Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties in Maryland.
​This funding will assist FHFH in providing approximately 20,000 meal servings of nutritious meat to the food banks and feeding ministries who serve people in need in those counties.

On behalf of those in Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties who struggle with hunger, we thank the Mid-Shore Community Foundation for their generosity and support of our mission to end hunger.
 
Established in 1992, the Mid-Shore Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity that connects private resources with public needs to enhance the quality of life throughout the Mid-Shore Region of Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot Counties.  The Foundation works with donors to establish funds for the region – funds that are distributed as grants and scholarships, provides training programs and endowment management services to area nonprofits, and supports start‐up charities and local charitable projects through fiscal sponsorship.

​Inspired by a passion for the hunt and compassion for the hungry, FHFH is committed to addressing the problem of hunger in America. Since 1997 FHFH has provided over 21.5 million servings of meat to those in need.
