Muskingum County, Ohio FHFH blessed Christ’s Table in Zanesville, Ohio with a donation of venison.  Christ’s Table is a nonprofit hot meal site (soup kitchen).

The deer was processed by our participating meat processor Olde Village Meats located in Frazeysburg.

We thank Muskingum County FHFH chapter coordinator Bob Daniels, Olde Village Meats, the hunters who donated deer to FHFH and our financial supporters for helping feed the hungry in their community.

The Mid-Shore Community Foundation has awarded $10,000 in grant funding to FHFH for chapters serving Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties in Maryland.
​This funding will assist FHFH in providing approximately 20,000 meal servings of nutritious meat to the food banks and feeding ministries who serve people in need in those counties.

On behalf of those in Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties who struggle with hunger, we thank the Mid-Shore Community Foundation for their generosity and support of our mission to end hunger.
 
Established in 1992, the Mid-Shore Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity that connects private resources with public needs to enhance the quality of life throughout the Mid-Shore Region of Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot Counties.  The Foundation works with donors to establish funds for the region – funds that are distributed as grants and scholarships, provides training programs and endowment management services to area nonprofits, and supports start‐up charities and local charitable projects through fiscal sponsorship.

Dave McMullen, chapter coordinator for Anne Arundel County FHFH in Maryland, donated his buck to FHFH in November.  Dave also donated a doe he harvested later.

Our Delaware County chapter in Ohio chapter donated over 2,700 meat servings for the needy of Delaware County. The meat was processed by Oiler Meat Processing!

We thank the hunters who donated, Oiler Meat Processing and Delaware County FHFH chapter coordinator Justin Ross for feeding the hungry in their community.

The Community Foundation of Frederick County has awarded $1,000 in grant funding to the Frederick County, Maryland Chapter of Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry.  This funding will assist FHFH in providing approximately 2,100 servings of nutritious meat to the food banks and feeding programs that feed the needy of Frederick County.

The Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Outdoor Fund has awarded a grant to the national Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry (FHFH) venison donation ministry. This funding will help FHFH pay meat processing bills to transform donated deer into nutritious meat for local food banks and feeding ministries while helping people across the nation see and understand the incredible value of the various “hunters for the hungry” programs.

Guided by the visionary leadership of Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris, the Outdoor Fund empowers Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s 200 million annual customers to support conservation efforts by rounding up their purchases. Rallying passionate customers alongside dedicated team members, industry partners and leading conservation organizations, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s is creating North America’s largest conservation movement to collectively shape the future of the outdoors and all who love it for generations to come.

Grand Junction FHFH in Colorado is off to a great start this hunting season! They have donated over 466 pounds of meat so far with more to come. A big thank you to Brandon and Logan for donating their harvest to feed the hungry in their community!

The Grand Junction FHFH chapter began in 2018, and receives game donations through Orchard Mesa Market. The meat is distributed to those in need through Orchard Mesa Church and Catholic Charities.
