Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry has partnered with Parkland CARES Food Pantry in Orefield, Pennsylvania since they opened their doors in 2019. Katrina Sundstrom, Executive Director of Parkland CARES Food Pantry, shared their gratitude for the donation of nutritious meat to their food pantry by Lehigh Valley FHFH:
“Since opening our doors in 2019, our partnership with Farmers & Hunters Feeding the Hungry has been a meaningful and impactful part of our journey. From the very beginning, their generosity helped us provide something truly special to the families we serve; high-quality, nutritious meat that many of them might not otherwise have access to.
I still remember those early days, when Parkland CARES first opened and we were able to offer over 100 pounds of meat to our community. It was an incredible moment, not just for us as an organization, but for the families who walked through our doors. There was a sense of excitement and relief; smiles that said more than words ever could. For many, it wasn’t just about food; it was about dignity, nourishment, and knowing someone cared.
Matt Coblentz has been at the heart of this effort from the start. His unwavering commitment to the families we serve, especially those facing food insecurity, has been nothing short of inspiring. He understands that what we do is about more than meeting a basic need; it’s about building trust, showing compassion, and making sure no one feels forgotten. His dedication continues to push this mission forward, even during the most challenging times.
The joy we see when families learn that meat is available is something we will never take for granted. There’s a genuine excitement, a spark of hope, and often deep gratitude. These moments remind us why partnerships like this matter so much.
We are incredibly thankful for Farmers & Hunters Feeding the Hungry and their steadfast support over the years. Their dedication to helping organizations like ours serve those in need has made a lasting difference in our community. Through difficult times and uncertain seasons, they have stood beside us, helping ensure that we can continue to provide for the families who rely on us. Our gratitude runs deep, and we are honored to be part of this shared mission to fight hunger and bring hope to those who need it most.”
