Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry (FHFH) is pleased to announce a generous $20,000 grant from The 1791 Foundation to help hunters provide wholesome, protein-rich meat to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. This grant will help FHFH pay participating butchers to process donated deer into nutritious meat for distribution by local food banks, food pantries, churches, and feeding ministries.

“We are deeply grateful to The 1791 Foundation for this generous investment in our mission,” said Josh Wilson, FHFH Executive Director. “This grant will help transform donations from hunters into healthy meals for thousands of people who might otherwise go without. Partnerships like this make a lasting difference in the lives of families facing hunger.”

For nearly three decades, FHFH has connected hunters, farmers, meat processors, and volunteers in a shared effort to fight hunger. The support from The 1791 Foundation comes at a time when many food banks continue to experience increased demand while facing rising food and operational costs. Protein remains one of the most needed—and most expensive—items for hunger relief agencies to obtain, and this grant will help ensure that more families have access to healthy, nourishing meals.
